We dedicated our concert (Arts @ First Concert Series “Locally Sourced Brass”) in memory of Marion Hendrickson, a tuba player with the band who passed away October 13th, 2018. We left his chair empty during the performance. Click here for his obituary.
"If you ever had an opportunity to have a conversation with Marion, you know that you always left that conversation feeling better about life and the world around you. I had the opportunity to perform with him a great deal and tipped a few pints with him over the years - he always had a positive outlook on life, even after battling and beating cancer. He was an exceptional human being, a fine tuba player, a great organist, an inspiring educator, and an amazing husband and father. We were all lucky to have him in our lives and he will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace." -Craig Mason
